Today I finished the Zimbabwe information. I did some research and wrote about how dehorning Rhinos has been implemented in order to try to reduce the rate of poaching. The western Black Rhino has gone completely extinct and I want to find a way to incorporate that into my site. After finishing the Zimbabwe information I kind of just sat and thought about what I would add next.

Today I decided to add some information about Poaching and Rhinos. I want my site to be appealing to the eye so I have been using pastel colors that complement the background. I decided to bullet facts about the Rhino, its habitat, poaching, and its effects. I didn't complete it yet. I added a survey to the site as well. I want to see the viewpoints of others towards the poaching of Rhino's. We also did an exit pass  today and I didn't have nay further questions.

Today I completed the bullet-ed facts about the Rhino, its habitat, poaching, and its effects. I want people to get a sense of how the Rhino eats, drinks, sleeps, and how poaching has really affected the species.I want to add research about how the extinction of Rhinos will impact not only the Rhino but its habitat, bugs that use its feces and other things, predators, prey, and further more humans . I almost finished rephrasing the text under near the "extinct means forever" image.

I don't have anymore questions about my research. I pretty much have all the material needed for my Weebly. If i am curious about something or need to know something that i didn't need to know earlier i just look it up and do some research. I do research everyday that way i find new things to add to my site that are interesting.

My questions can be answered through investigation. I can find out statistics about poaching. I can also find out why poaching has increased that is directly related to the rhino population. I am confident that I can find successful information.

Today I was absent. Although i was absent from class I continued to do work on my weebly website at home. I added some pictures to the gallery along with finishing the story about the Chinese and Vietnamese people.  I also did the exit pass for the day.

Today I added more stuff to my weebly. I started adding information about Zimbabwe and the rhinos. I think I am going to add some information about how rhinos eat, their daily activities, etc. I kind of played around with weebly to see what i could find. I want to edit the design of my site but i think adding information is more crucial at this point.  Lastly today i completed another exit pass.

Today I did a lot of work. I added an entire section from my wiki. Although we ran out of time I did set up new columns. I plan on finishing the Zimbabwe piece on Monday. I have sort of hit a wall, so to say. I need more inspiration for my site. I also believe that adding eyewitness stories related to poaching will benefit the site. I want to add a video but am unsure of how to do so.

Why am I doing this research?
I am doing this research to help make a change in the world. I want people to understand the fate of the world and environment through my research.

I expect to find information that will answer my questions. I also expect to find out how to and if possible to create a petition on my site.

Today i finished all of my research on how poaching effects Rhino's. I found out all of this horrible information about how poachers cut the poor animals horns off and leave them for dead. The rhino's, if not shot, electrocuted, or beheaded, die of blood loss and infection. I fear that there is nothing that can be done to help the Rhino's. More and More die each year leaving the population at a steady drop rate. Its a lot to take on but i am determined to spread awareness, its the least a human can do.

Today I started my weebly. I named my site savetherhinos.weebly.com. So far not much has been done to create awareness on my site. I have started gathering photos for a slide show available on my site. I want to set up a design first that way i can get the feel of what information goes where. I figured out how to change the background on my weebly along with how to set up columns. I completed an exit ticket today also.

Today i worked on my weebly. I added more awareness photos to my slideshow. I also took info from my T-chart and dragged it to my Weebly. I am debating how to edit it. I want to put articles about recent rhino attacks. I also set up a part that says "Poaching for the Stubborn". I  plan on putting information about the chinese using Rhino horn to cure illnesses, cancers, even nightmares. The stubborn part comes in where there is no scientific evidence that proves rhino horn to cure anything. The Chinese have their own beliefs, but these stubborn traditions have been hurting not only the Rhinos but the entire world.

I wonder about how long others think the rhino has left to live freely in the wild. I wonder if people even know about the devastation occurring to the rhino population. I want to inform people on poaching because it never crosses peoples mind on a regular basis or even remotely.

I am interested enough in my topic to investigate it. I think that in the world we live in today we, as a whole, need to be awakened to the dangers and reality occurring to the wildlife and plant life all over. We also need to investigate to figure out how to fix the problems.
